Signs The Battery is The Issue
Your car battery is the cornerstone of your vehicle’s electrical system. It serves as the primary power source for your electrical systems. It provides the necessary power for your systems to function, and it also stabilizes the voltage to keep your engine running. If your vehicle didn’t start, but it did after someone offered a jumpstart, that is usually all you need. If the vehicle won’t start the next time, you try or the jumpstart doesn’t work, there may be a problem with the battery. If the battery test tells us you have a bad battery, we can replace it for you and get you back on the road, but if your battery is healthy, we will need to run diagnostics to figure out where your electrical problem lies, whether an alternator issue, a starter issue, or another component.

An alternator is named after alternating current, which generates electricity when you drive to keep your battery charged. A Problematic Starter Can Also Cause Issues
Your starter is a system in and of itself with a small motor that creates power for your ignition system, so your vehicle will start. It also has a starter relay that will send power through the starter system to the spark plugs, which will cause an electrical spark that ignites the fuel and air mix in the internal combustion chamber, which fires up your vehicle. If your starter doesn’t work, there won’t be a spark to light the ignition.
