2026 Ford Bronco vs 2026 Jeep Wrangler

When it comes to compact SUVs, you’ll find a crowded market with numerous models for buyers in Sandy Springs, Smyrna, and Atlanta. As you look for serious off-roading SUVs, the crowd thins, leaving two models at the top with the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler. Though the Wrangler has long been seen as in a class of its own, Ford has proven to make the Bronco a worthy competitor and, in some cases, it even takes top spot.

The Basics

The Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler have a lot in common. Both models seat four and include a three-year basic warranty. Four-wheel drive is standard on all trims of both SUVs. The Ford Bronco includes eight trims compared to six for the Wrangler. Both SUVs are gas models with numerous options and packages to fit your sense of adventure.

Power for the Journey

One of the primary differences between the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler is in the base engine. While the Wrangler has a V6 for the base model, the Bronco is powered by a four-cylinder engine. Don’t let that fool you though. The two engines are comparable in horsepower with the Bronco offers significantly more pound-feet of torque while providing excellent fuel economy for an off-roading vehicle. The Bronco also has more towing capacity at 3500 pounds over 2000 pounds for the Wrangler.

Amenities for the Trail

Both SUVs are no-frills on the trail with the base models. You’ll have the basics that you need, such as cruise control, power windows and doors, remote keyless entry, and manual climate control. As you move up in trims, you get to enjoy more of the comfort and convenience features that are available. For instance, multi-level heated seats are included on the Bronco Raptor, but they aren’t standard on the top trim of the Wrangler. Both models upgrade to automatic climate control at the top of the line but only the Bronco makes a heated steering wheel standard for those days when you want to have an adventure in the mountains or in the cold.

Advanced Tech

With a focus on off-roading and going off-grid, neither SUV adds a lot of frills. Even with technology, the purpose is clear – to help you enjoy more of your outdoor adventure. Access to a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available on higher trims. Premium audio systems aren’t standard until you get to the higher trims with Bang & Olufsen for the Ford Bronco and JBL for the Jeep Wrangler. In-car Wi-Fi is available on both models to allow you to get online from anywhere. A backup camera is standard on both models with an around view camera available on mid-level trims for the Ford Bronco. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is available on mid-trims for both models with automatic braking standard for the mid-level trims of the Bronco but available only as an option for the Wrangler.
